The Myth of 20/20 Vision:
How the Overall Visual Process Affects our Children
November 7, 2017
5:30pm
Most children who struggle academically can see 20/20. However, there are many other visual skills that are often not evaluated in a typical eye exam. These skills must be efficient for a child to be successful in school. Visual abilities, such as coordinating the eyes together as a team, moving the eyes accurately, shifting the focus of the eyes from board to notebook, and understanding the information coming in through the eyes, all play a critical role in academic success. If your child has been labeled with ADD/ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, a Learning Disability, or has a 504 plan or an IEP, you won’t want to miss this very informative talk.
